Job Description

Egybell is hiring a Site Construction Manager for a leading construction company located in Fifth Settlement

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing and supervising all civil construction activities on-site, encompassing both solar power plants and high/medium voltage substations.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with project specifications, design drawings, safety regulations, and established quality standards.
  • Overseeing a wide range of civil works, such as foundations, structures, buildings, access roads, and drainage systems pertinent to substations and solar installations.
  • Effective coordination and management of subcontractors performing these civil works are crucial.
  • Supervise and interpret results from various civil engineering tests, including soil and concrete tests, bringing specific expertise in pullout tests essential for solar mounting structures.
  • Collaboration with design engineers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to proactively resolve technical issues and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitoring project progress, preparing comprehensive reports, and managing all project documentation related to civil works fall under this position’s purview, alongside implementing and rigorously enforcing site safety procedures and protocols.
  • Efficient management of site logistics and resource allocation for all civil construction activities is also expected.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent in English
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct hands-on experience in civil construction, with a specific focus on civil works for high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) electrical substations, as well as civil installations for utility-scale solar power plants.
  • Proven experience in managing construction sites and effectively leading construction teams is essential.
  • Significant experience and technical knowledge of pullout testing procedures and their interpretation, particularly concerning solar panel foundations and structures.
  • A strong, fundamental understanding of civil engineering principles, contemporary construction methods, materials science, and relevant industry standards applicable to power infrastructure projects is necessary.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership capabilities, coupled with proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for stakeholder interaction, alongside an unwavering commitment to upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Possessing a Professional Engineering (PE) license or an equivalent professional certification will be considered a significant advantage.
