Job Description
EgyBell is hiring a Design and Estimation Engineer (lighting background ) for a well-known company located in Maadi.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to identify technical and commercial requirements.
• Develop professional lighting design layouts using Dialux, Relux, or similar lighting software based on client needs and standards.
• Prepare complete and accurate lighting calculations, product selections, and technical submittals.
• Estimate project costs including materials, labor, and logistics, ensuring proposals are competitive and profitable.
• Collaborate with Sales and Technical teams to ensure technical feasibility and compliance with client expectations.
• Provide technical support and clarifications during the bidding, negotiation, and project execution phases.
• Maintain and update a database of suppliers, product costs, and design references for accurate estimations.
• Assist in developing design documentation, BOQs, and quotations for tenders and ongoing projects.
• Participate in project handovers to ensure smooth transition from design to execution.
• Keep up to date with new lighting technologies, standards, and design practices to enhance proposal quality.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or related technical field.
• 5–8 years of experience in lighting design, electrical estimation, or project engineering, preferably in architectural or commercial lighting.
• Strong technical knowledge of lighting systems, control solutions, and relevant standards.
• Proficiency in Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with pricing, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management.
• Strong communication skills in English and Arabic.
